I've always loved the magical feeling of watching snow falling. Here is a song inspired by many such moments.

When I rise
I raise the blinds
And see before my eyes
Swirling, chasing
Snowflakes tracing
Circles in the sky

And before I know
I’m flying out through the window
Light as a snow crystal I go
Into the cold morning air
Bright white
Shining and shimmering of daylight
Making my way to a great height
And floating down slowly from there

The winter day shakes
Me awake
And lifts me like a prayer
It tugs my sleeve, saying
Can you see
The light that’s everywhere

And in my daydream
I’m skipping out on the bright breeze
Singing out loud in the pine trees
Spinning around in the clouds
Leaping, sweeping right over the lamp posts
Dancing alongside the fence rows
And skittering over the ground

And the snowdrifts
Cover the world like forgiveness
And I feel a new hope within this
Cynical old heart of mine
And the magic spell of the glistening snow grows
Till I am a child at the window
Quietly watching it fly
