Candyland literacy night

Candy Land Game Night! This was the theme of our recent Family Literacy Night. I think Game Night has been one of my favorite themes that we have done! The Candy Land colors were great

I saw an idea for using the game Candy Land with sight words so I went out to Target yesterday and picked one up. After I finished writing sight words on all of the cards, I decided I wanted a version for my lower students who are still having difficulty with sight word recognition so I made a CVC word version. I enjoy finding new ways for my daughter to practice spelling. I think because I was never a huge fan of homework... seriously... who is right. Anyways! We got this game for christmas.
