📖 The Shah Mosque is located in the Iranian city of Isfahan, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its construction is associated with the Safavid dynasty, and in particular with Abbas Shah I (1588-1629). It is one of the finest examples of Persian architecture of its time and today. Ali Qapu (Great Gate) Palace, on the Naqsh-e Jahan Square, in the city of Isfahan, Iran 🇮🇷🤭

Built in the late 16th century, it served as the official residence and ceremonial gateway to the royal complex on Naqsh-e Jahan Square.

The terrace affords a wonderful perspective over the square and one of the best views of the Masjed-e Shah and the mountains beyond. The wooden ceiling with its intricate inlays is nevertheless a spectacle to behold in its own right.
