Here we have a blanket lined Lee Rider denim jacket. You see, back in the day denim jackets would be worn much like a layering piece with a heavier jacket over the top. This is why Lee chose to use bakelite (an old kind of plastic) buttons for the waist adjusters when the Rider was introduced in the 50s, the metal ones would wear through the lining of the jacket worn on top. Blanket lined denim jackets provided another layer of warmth and protection against the elements.
