Light. This has an unusual lighting because we are bias into thinking that the light source that are centered and from above is normal. However, in this photo, the light source comes from the bottom, shadowing the top of the model's face. This type of lighting creates an eerie essence for the model.

This photo represents unusual lighting. The light source is coming from the bottom instead of top left which makes it more interesting. This kind of lighting makes the overall picture look creepy. The shadows created on her face add drama. The lighting makes the picture have a creepy and intense meaning which is opposite of what it would be if the light source was from above.
