a fun new way to teach subject and predicate
Subject and Predicate Activity Students will Love
This subject and predicate activity is a great review activity at the beginning of the school year or an activity to do any time of the year to help young writers write sentences. This sentence structure activity is great for teaching students parts of a sentence. This hands-on activity starts off whole group and then students work independently and then becomes a partner activity. You can use this writing activity during writers workshop during grammar or during literacy centers.
Fun with personification in my fourth grade classroom today! I read the children's book, The Little Red Pen, which is filled with examples of personification, and then the students wrote their own sentences bringing an object to life. They loved it!
