Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  1. With [[User:Harmonia_Amanda/namescript.js]] enabled, go to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q122170911
  2. Click "Add labels and descriptions"

What happens?:
The script gives the following error message

What should have happened instead?:
This is a Spanish female given name, so I would expect the script to fill out labels and descriptions reflecting that, based on language code "es". This worked up until today.

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

Event Timeline

After some research, it doesn't seem to be a bug on namescript (which has known no change recently) but a problem more general with the ak language. The script was supplying a new label in akan, hence the error code in namescript. But editing any label in akan is now giving an error: the following screenshot is an example outside the script

Moebeus renamed this task from [[User:Harmonia_Amanda/namescript.js]] stopped working today, gives weird error: "supplied language code "ak" was not recognized" to Editing labels in Akan language ("ak") not possible?.Sep 1 2023, 8:58 PM
Moebeus updated the task description. (Show Details)

It's because ak was removed from MediaWiki - T333765
