Hey there, I have a Sata Hard drive that for some reason stopped booting on a computer with Windows XP Pro on it. I just tried to make it a second drive on a different computer on Sata1 port but the Win7 Computer sticks at a colored loading icon until I unplug the data cable, yes with it still running and it then finishes the boot, the bios does see it. So that might be one problem you could help with.

Wise Disk Cleaner and Wise Program Uninstaller repeatedly are blocked on my system.

Any thoughts on how I should deal with this? Perhaps to circumvent the block?

Yes Avast again with a false positive, cannot install.
Can anything be done?

thank you for the adding of CCleaner in PortableApps.
I meet a little problem. The functions [add "run CCleaner" option to Recycle Bin context menu] and [add "open CCleaner..." option to Recycle Bin context menu] don't seem to work properly. Everytime I launch CCleaner with a right mouse button click on the Recycle Bin, a new [ccleaner.ini] file is created with default settings. And it's very, very annoying.

Oracle has officially dropped x86 / I586 builds for all platforms back in September 2017 with release of version 9. The version 8 is officially maintained for one year, so there would be no more updates for it after September 2018. Till then everybody should jump to the newest version, which would be 11 at the time. They also adopted rapid release cycle, with a new version every 6 month and probably some LTS version. But the latest isn’t important for this topic.

My JPortable Launcher stopped working recently (probably after a Java update) with “jPortable Launcher cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue. (ERROR: jPortable [http://PortableApps.com/jPortable] could not be found)”. I reinstalled both JPortable Launcher and JPortable, but the error did not go away.

4.0.3 aup works fine..but new 4.1.0 only works if i start it from its portable.exe file..in the win contexct menu appears but really do not work..always appears a pop up error: file not found..and i've set it to run as admin..

All of a sudden since latest Windows 10 update The RegistryCleaner and the DiskCleaner were uninstalled by Defender without chance to provide an exception to them.
Had to disable Defender entirely to reinstall and run these both apps on 4 boxes.

I know from Malwarebytes that it tried to quarantine these apps too, but at least one could easily give an exception to them.

As I was installing the portable apps platform, SCEP detected issue with FreeFileSyncPortable executables.

Category: Potentially Unwanted Software

Description: This program has potentially unwanted behavior.

Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.

Each time I try installing I get a SendRequest Error just like the previous online installer. Nothing downloads and the installer just stops with the error.

Also, each time a new version of java is released my current portable java becomes disabled as if it checks for a new update each time I use it. Java will not work anymore until there is a new portable update and that can take weeks. Is there a way to disable jportable from checking for new versions and just continue to run with the one I have?
