SEE HOW YOU CAN MAKE A BEAUTIFUL WATER FOUNTAIN JUST LIKE THE ONE I MADE
Difficulty: Medium Directions : 1.Obtain an Antique Tractor Disc Harrow. Approximately 5 feet tall with at least 5 or more discs of approximately 14 inches in diameter and spaced about 6 inches apart. 2. Drill out the center axel of the disc harrow with a 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch diameter bit.We had this done by a gun driller. 3.Weld a stand to the bottom of the disc harrow so that it can stand upright. We had a welder do this. 4. Obtain a metal container with a diameter that will fit the legs of the upright disc and at least 14 inches deep to hold water to circulate through the Disc Harrow Fountain. In addition, the container must have a grate on top to limit debris from falling into the water. Remember, the legs need to fit through the grate in order to stand supported by the bottom o

It depends on which variety you have and where you live but if they are brown, with no growth on them and/or the buds aren’t turning green by mid-May, I would cut them down to the ground and cross your fingers you have a hybrid because then you will likely get flowers off the new growth (Endless Summer is an example but some people refer to these as “Endless Bummers”😂)It’s often too cold in New England and other areas in the US for these but breeders create new varieties all the time.Yes, these are beautiful when they work but they aren’t reliable so I recommend you plant something that will deliver. I am a huge fan of oakleaf hydrangeas, panicles (like Limelight and other varieties), and wild arborescens (cultivated versions include Annabelle and Incrediball). These are all reliable bloomers and are less finisky than the bigleafs. Serratas are also solid. I have a lot of other hydrangea videos in the Hydrangea playlist if you want more of this and I also have a simple guide available on my linktree. If you would like more hands-on guidance, visit my website for information about how to book an in-person consultation in the Boston area or virtual consultation anywhere. https://www.youcandoitgardening.com You can also visit my Linktree for other resources and subscribe to this account for extra perks!
