Artist Tip: Gel Printing On Heavy-Weight Paper

How to avoid damaging your monoprints on heavy-weight paper - TIP! If you want to gel print on heavier paper, like excellent fine art paper of 300 gsm or more, it can be hard to lift the paper from the Gelli® plate without bending, folding or wrinkling it, especially when leaving it on the plate until everything is dry. The easiest way to avoid that is turning everything over, having the gel plate on top of your print and then peeling off the plate. It is very flexible and bendable and will quickly release your paper while you keep that nice and flat.
