I made this a while back in Physics when our teacher gave us the non-specific assignment of making a momentum poster. This was my effort, complete with Megashark and plane.

Did you know there are different types of collisions? The difference between them has to do with kinetic energy. My physics students struggle to keep them straight, just always remember elastic = bounce!

An object in motion stays in motion FOREVER...UNSTOPPABLE

A very common type of periodic motion is called simple harmonic motion (SHM). A system that oscillates with SHM is called a simple harmonic oscillator. In simple harmonic motion, the acceleration of the system, and therefore the net force, is proportional to the displacement and acts in the opposite direction of the displacement.

Impulses cause objects to change their momentum AND the amount of impulse equals the amount of momentum change. A grasp of the four variables in F*t = m*∆v allow one to make predictions about how alterations of one of the variables would affect the other variables.

The relationship between momentum and collisions is clearly explained with the law of conservation of momentum and with many real life examples.
