I’m never wanting just ferry my children quickly through the assignments, I’d rather go slowly for deeper learning and understanding. ✨ This year, so far, learning is seeping into every area of our house and little bits spread all throughout the day with (play, eat, work) breaks in between. Reading flows into table work, into Montessori lessons with one child who needs a bit more one-on-one. Mom snuggles a baby and then reads to another child, or a group of them. An older child reads to another or looks over a younger siblings book work for fun. A large part of our parenting approach stems from the Montessori Method, believing that babies, toddlers and children ARE capable. When given the accessibility, the prepared environment and the prepared adult, children’s independence and sense of autonomy can flourish alongside their incredible skills. Lots of my learning came from @themontessorinotebook and @nickav25 if you also want to learn more!
