a close up of a birthday card with a leaf on the front and an embellishment in the middle

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card that I made for this week's challenge at Mojo Monday. I love the colour scheme of Early Espresso, Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate with a bit of White (this week's favourite). Two of the feathers were created by placing colour on the stamp with Stampin' Write Markers spritzing with water and then stamping on Whisper White before cutting out with the matching framelits die. The background was created with the stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp…

a handmade card with a feather and button on the front that says sympathy sympathy

Sympathy cards are the hardest one's to make I think. You want to portray depth of emotion and heartfelt sympathy for the recipient with a card which is appealing to look at but not too bright or

a close up of a greeting card with leaves and swirls on the side,

A turquoise and copper card using a woodgrain background, feathers and a bit of flourish. This card was actually made last December for a card exchange in a local stamping group I belong to, but I'm just now getting around to posting it. It has sort of a Southwest flavor to it with the copper and turquoise color scheme. More details on how I made the card are here.

a card with an image of a peacock feather and the words, when you'll live you're about to fall it might actually mean you're about to fly

Linda presented a clever challenge today....depending on where we live and what the current temperatures are, we were to use either a cool palette(cold) or a warm one(tropical and wonderful). Where I am the low will be 1 deg F and the high 14 F. The winds will make it seem colder. I did a basically one layer card.....if you don't count sequins and rhinestones...my latest embellishments of choice. I used reinkers to color my image. TFL

a green and blue card with leaves on it

I recently watched a live class with Gina K. You can see the recording here. It was my first time watching her live and I really enjoyed her class. I have been in a birthday card slump but after watching her class, I had a few ideas! She used Stamp and Die set Fancy Feathers to create a card so I tried how she did it first. My colors I used was Distress Ink colors cracked pistachio, twisted citron and mermaid lagoon. The white, blue and green cardstock is just some I had in my scrap pile…

I have several sheet music magazines that date back over 100 years old, I used it for a free cut feather. I glued two piece together because the paper is so fragile. Description

a white card with a black feather on it and a brown ribbon around the edge

When I saw feather I knew I've kept a feather I've found in my garden, stamped the birds and Je T'aime = I Love You, used a white marker for the white dots, pierced 2 holes with a needle and with the same needle sewed the feather with raffia to the oval tied a bow on the front side, popped this on foam tape and added just a strip of silver mirror paper in the back ground TFL
