On the north side of Kauai, not far from this pic and the Queen's bath, you'll find Hideaway beach. It's the neatest beach we saw there. Quite a steep trail down, and all of nine parking spots, but worth it. This is a view from the trail. Just below the ledge is where you park your carcass (and your stuff). The water is calm in the summer, with immediate reefs & rocks for snorkeling. The water is just incredible, and there's plenty of shade. If I lived there, I'd live here all summer.
