My Crazy Tulip Patch

This week's Project QUILTING challenge is You're Crazy, which is inspired by the late 1800s “crazy quilt” movement. I am not into crazy quilting at all. Plus a couple years ago I cleaned out fabric that I was no longer interested in ie: velvet. So my take on the crazy quilting challenge has a more modern feel to it. Handmade heirloom quality patchwork quilt with applique tulips made by award-winning quilter, Gail Sexton. Gorgeous vintage style 9 Patch design with tulips in bright, happy colors. The border is Gail's original design. The back is white with a pattern of tiny red and blue flowers. Entitled "Tulips In My Garden" and hand-signed and dated by Gail on quilt label. This quilt was on exhibition at the Upcountry Quilt Show and the Greenville Quilt Show. Heirloom quilted on a domestic sewing machine. Made of 100% cotton. There is a sleeve on the back to hold a rod for hanging. Measurements: 80 inches x 80 inches. Great on a twin or full size bed.
