Two years pass unnoticed until an optimistic software engineer named Thaddeus Wilson recognizes him. Seeking training for an upcoming state boxing tournament, Thaddeus, despite having participated in only one street fight, he holds firm belief in his ability to compete and emerge victorious, particularly with Jay Walker by his side. Initially regarding Thaddeus's ambition as impractical due to his lack of experience, Jay Walker's perception shifts upon discovering Thaddeus's unwavering motivation. Three months earlier, Thaddeus's older brother received a seven-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter resulting from a drunk driving incident. Claiming innocence and asserting that his car was stolen, Thaddeus's brother's plea convinces Thaddeus to strive for victory in the impending state fighting tournament.
