Six sun-spun productions best served poolside. Proto Exotica’s maiden compilation dips into shimmery jazz, acid-tinged breaks, low-slung downtempo, and the sweet spot between Balearic and ambient.

Each track is an asynchronous contribution from friends across the Asia-Pacific region: Mori Ra, Sonder Plains, Tucan Discos, Bongomann, Max Hammur, and Gold Suite. By removing the barriers of location and time, self-paced collaboration let each sound breathe in, breathe out and find its natural place.
