Ingredients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup strawberry puree
- Frosting (buttercream) for assembling

Instructions

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In another large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and milk.
