A deep, dark river flows through a dense forest. The trees are so tall and thick that they block out most of the sunlight, casting a gloomy shadow over the river. The water is still and black, and it is impossible to see the bottom. A few wisps of fog float above the river, adding to the air of mystery.

District 12 : As my platform rises, I finally get a peak at the arena. It's a dark forest. I sigh. Why couldn't it be a meadow or something? Why a dark forest where everything is deadly?
