I have always wanted to try applique on t-shirts, but I had never done. Truthfully, I was scared of sewing on knits. They stretch and move and it just seemed like it was a disaster waiting to happen. I mentioned the Stetson Mansion Quilt Show in my last post about my Reversible Place Mat Tutorial. Judy Hansen down at the Quilt Shop of Dealand puts on a HUGE quilt show every summer at the Stetson Mansion. It runs July 18th-30th this year. When my boys were little, injuries seemed to include a lot of drama, (drama as in dramatic acting). Actually, as I think about they still do sometimes! Bandages were always needed no matter how small the scratch was. Bumps always needed ice packs. And they always were hoping for a cast or crutches. I made these little miniatures for pin cushion toppers a few weeks ago. They have a flat little base and two holes. You can sew them on to the top of any pincushion.
