I recently planted two very large growing bags with potatoes. We've done this a couple of times with a huge amount of success. I end up giving quite a few away because I couldn't figure out how to store them all.... until my dehydrator! This is easy and I don't have to rely on prepackaged items. They store easily in a ball jar. I use these for more than just mashed potatoes. They are also a great thickener and the extra potato water can be used as a yeast starter.
