Skiing Painting at Meribel below Saliure in the 3 Valleys in the French Alps. A bit of a crazy painting with an abstract underpainting in bold bright colours and then partially overlaid with a more realistic impressionist style. Off piste foray in the trees above Meribel near the Dent Du Burgin chair lift (just above Altiport and Blanchot). Off piste conditions and fresh powder lumped onto the trees make for a great day out thought the off piste with waist deep powder. Really beautiful…

Size matters… That’s why I decided to make my largest artwork last year when I painted ‘Snowflakes’. Working on a piece that is bigger than I am required a lot of paint; 10 litres to be exact. It also required a lot of patience to paint each of the 61 figures but the result was nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to make another painting this size. Perhaps even bigger!
