Recycle plastic works, knowing resin code helps even more!
The rules of recycling plastic differ among areas. But, two common plastic packaging, PET and HDPE, are widely accepted to curbside recycling bins because they have good recycling values. PP 5 acceptance to curbside recycling are growing, too, so ask local government about PP 5 acceptance. Yet, Acceptance of LDPE 4 are low because they are harder to be recycled. As to PVC 3 and PS 6, they have low recycling values so in most areas, to dispose of them, you need to find a specialist recycler.
