Matten
Wow, just wow. Hadn't heard of this band before, yet this might already be one of my favorites of the year. It's for things like this that I follow Yoma.
Favorite track: We, Vultures Feeding Iniquity With Your Infants’ Guts.

An all inclusive tour through hell. Ladies and gents, sulphur bogs to the right. Soul cauldrons at eleven. Enjoy your drink of molten iron and blood...
Gentlemen, you've topped yourselves. Congrats. And thanks.
p.s. goddamn christ, what a possessive album...
p.s.2. Matten, check Veins too!

Contranatura is three long form assaults on the senses. Battering ram percussion, slack rattle bass, gibbering riffs, background noise textures, eerie disharmonic carousel rides, stacked vocals in various states of tortured pain in a Covenant/Morbid Angel of Mass Grave Aesthetics/Deathspell Omega Onward to Golgotha/Incantation.
Ἡ εἰκών was an impressive debut, but way too short! Luckily, Ψευδομένη arrives to satisfy the urge for more of what made its precedessor hit hard and fast: some atmospheric moments (don't be deterred as this is still brutal, dissonant and disgusting to the core) and at the same time, J.L. is exploring longer tracks - e.g. my personal favourite - and implementing some cavernous lows. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's most likely that this man refuses to stand still. What a pace! David Fischer
immense découverte 2025. brutalement mélodique que cette parfaite alchimie entre le death et le black métal. tout est bon chez Dormant Ordeal hollowpie
If “atmospheric black metal” implies majestic comedowns and dramatic dynamics, this powerhouse instead constitutes anti-atmospheric black metal. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 23, 2021
Similar to Convulsing's previous album, another interesting yet intriguing blackened dissonant death metal album... with progressive elements as well. Would recommend to those who are wanting more from the dissodeath genre for sure. terrariancloud
