A Witch in Her Garden

A Witch in Her Garden finished. Design by #withthyneedleandthread @brenda_gervais Still think it needs more filling but it kept spilling out as I sewed lol. Brenda is a rock star in her designing and finishing instructions. #halloweenstitching #countrystitchesonline

Wicked Night by Giulia Manfredini of Giulia Punti Antichi

Just Cross Stitch magazine Oct 2015. I got the button from A Stitching Shop. Stitched on 30 ct Gold Weeks linen. I got the thread it called for with my button but decided to change it to GAST Carriage Black.

Jenny Bean Halloween Sampler by Shakespeare Peddler

A fun stitch but I had a time sorting the threads that came with the kit. They were special limited threads by GAST and no names were on them. The colours were really close on a few so I just winged it by what I thought looked good.

Pay close attention to the number 8 symbol and the letter B

WIP Jenny Bean Halloween...need tip on thread sorting

I'm going to stitch this wonderful sampler.

Its a great piece not just for Halloween.

Here's my fabric and threads.

The threads on the left I had no problem with.

Nightmare, Dried Blood, and Sarcophagus were pretty easy to tell.

These were the ones I can't figure out.

They are: Coffin Lid, Witch's Wort, Swamp Water,

Zombie Flesh and Burial Ground

yet they all look so much alike.

Witch Pumpkin by With Thy Needle Designs

Another wonderful design from Brenda Gervais of With Thy Needle Designs. She has a wonderful online shop Country Stitches or you can get your local needlework shop to order for you.

I just love her designs and they always please me when I am finished. She gives just great directions.
As you can see my stitching is awkward under the band. I was going to redo it but the needle left holes. Better to draw a faint line to cross evenly. I did the back and it looks alot better but it is a primitive design right :)
I picked up the fabric & flowers at Hobby Lobby. These seemed to give it a Fall look. I am hanging it up and leaving it even tho it has a little witch on it. I am German and have a kitchen witch for good luck and this will be her little ditty bag.
