‘Reworks’ by Rosa Brunello releases on a 12” EP and digitally via Domanda Music on November 14th 2025

Following on from her recent playlist busting composition “Uno Punto Uno,” a track that earned a place on the recent Women In Jazz Compilation, a performance at Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Basement and a sold-out show at London’s Ronnie Scott’s, composer, bassist, producer and arranger Rosa Brunello, has readied her next project.

Coming in November 2025, a 5-track vinyl EP that showcases reworks and edits of tracks from her two studio albums to date, both released via Los Angeles label Domanda Music. 2022’s

Rosa’s two albums, “Sounds Like Freedom” and last year's “Senseless Acts Of Love,” are now both out of press and highly sought after. These new compositions, beautifully reimagined by some of her esteemed mentors and collaborators are sure to be fast sellers too, so don’t sleep!

First up on this remix package is electronic sound artist Eva Geist, well-known for her groundbreaking album "Il Quadro Di Troisi" teamed up with Rosa to reimagine ‘Furgonauta’ the final track for her acclaimed "Sounds Like Freedom." record. The result is a dynamic, high-energy dub version that foreshadowed Brunello's second record, later released in spring 2024 on Domanda Music.

Next up is Rome resident, Khalab, whose catalog boasts releases on Real World, Black Acre, On The Corner and his own Hyperjazz label.
Here he demonstrates a futuristic take on ‘Found You In A Maze’ - his trademark tribal drums let Rosa’s bass line roll along in an almost questions answer fashion. Brass stabs arrive reminding us this is still a jazz record at heart, and reverbs and delays pinging to add space to this deep composition.

After a meeting between Domanda Music label boss, drummer and producer Tommaso Cappellato and Paris based DJ/Producer, Neil Bopperson, whilst at Danilo Plessow’s Paris studio for some Collettivo Immaginario recordings. Bopperson was inspired by the “Live sounding House & Disco recordings that were taking place right there” and immediately wanted to reinterpret ‘Chance Upon A Chance’ in a similar style.

The result is a mid tempo roller that keeps Rosa’s bassline solely at the forefront, whilst the track benefits from a more 4/4 groove. This remix also features some additional synth playing from Maria Chiara Argirò, flute from Tamar Osborn and percussion from Domando head honcho Tommaso Cappellato.

Rosa Brunello also joined forces with legendary reggae-dub producer Paolo Baldini to reimagine ‘Razzle-Dazzle’, one of the standout tracks from the album, ‘Senseless Acts of Love’. This remix transforms the original into a deeply immersive sonic journey, blending the warmth of dub with the elegance of experimental jazz. The collaboration between Brunello and Baldini is rooted in their shared artistic history, dating back to when Rosa played with B.R. Stylers, the iconic reggae-dub band founded by Baldini. After years of following separate paths, their reunion brings a fresh perspective, merging dub traditions with sophisticated jazz improvisation.

Closing out the release, in a move that is sure to shake up the dance music world, Minneapolis producer Joe Christensen (aka DJ Stempom) who is one half of the King Pari duo, who have recently released on Stones Throw, has reworked Rosa’s track “Desert Moon Stomp”.

This one taken from Rosa’s album “Sounds Like Freedom” album, this dancefloor-ready techno mix showcases DJ Stepmom's knack for dubby composition, which was initially inspired by his love for her music and the feelings it evoked upon first hearing her play.
