Happy Mother’s Day from here in the UK ❤️ . I’m busy relaxing and being spoiled by my lovely family, feeling very lucky 🥰 - so here’s a re-run of a double exposure cyanotype I made towards the end of last year. It also shows me printing a transparent layer of colour over the finished cyanotype, to give a “sunset” effect in the sky. . I only made one of these, which sold - but I do have some lovely “Sunset Murmuration” giclee prints available on my website in 2 sizes, either framed or unframed...

I shared a bit about this last week but I wanted to share a more in depth look into how I make the paper. It’s honestly really easy once you get the hang of it I had this idea for a long time before I decided to go for it. I saved up some used tea bags, carefully unfolded them, and cleaned them out, rinsed them, and placed them on a silicone mat.
