If you are not super familiar with the Navajo Nation, it is home to some of the best national parks, is rich with Native culture, and has some of the sweetest people (myself included). It stretches across four states: Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado, and has much to offer if you look close enough.

The most celebrated contribution of the Navajos during WWII was the role of the 400 code talkers. They relayed radio messages using their own language, which the Japanese were unable to understand or decode. This invaluable contribution helped the Allies win the war and has earned the Navajo people a lasting legacy of honor and respect.
