Noh-gaku Zue (Pictures of Noh Play). The series contains 261 prints from 220 different noh plays. Unlike the static traditional ukiyo-e, Noh-gaku Zue used the dynamic black lines and many bokashi to indicate the 3-dimensional effect. They gave the impression of the fresh, naturalistic paintings instead of the traditional style prints.
