My wee shrine to Green Tara, open, with the lights on so you can see the details better. Green Tara is the Tibetan Buddhist boddhisatva of compassion in action; she's a get-up-and-change-the-world kind of figure. Tara originated in Hinduism and was adopted by the Buddhists around the 6th century; she has myriad manifestations including the White Tara and Red Tara.
