bahrain pottery. Though Mesopotamian, later potteries discovered indicated that they were created in Bahrain. Archaeologists have traditionally agreed that the earliest potteries made in the islands were made in 2300 BC. Potteries are still made traditionally in villages, particularly A'ali village which utilises the mud from the nearby flats in Riffa.
