Claire Lopez on Instagram: "The column of colour theory 🌈 Wearing head to toe the same colour is an easy way to make yourself appear taller and to slim. 🌈 But you can also use the column of colour theory in the same way which allows you to introduce more colour into your outfit. 🌈 So you can either colour match your inner or outer layer to your bottom half ie your top and bottom match with a contrast outerwear or vice versa your outerwear and bottom half match with a different colour underneath. 🌈 It doesn’t just have to be long coats either - short jackets/blazers etc all work in the same way. 🌈 And this applies to all your separates - skirts and trousers alike. At 5 ft 2 and a bit this is something I use frequently when creating outfits to help look taller. Claire Lopez on Instagram: "Wide leg trousers… A wardrobe staple for me but even more so at this time of year and here’s why: ✔️Definitely a staple in my wardrobe but it ticks so many boxes at this time of year when it’s 🥶🥶🥶 ✔️ Easy layering of tights/leggings underneath ✔️ No bare ankles as those thermal socks are firmly hidden!! ✔️ Footwear is much easier - trainers and pointed ankle boots/knee high boots will all fit under the hem of your trousers/denim. ❌ Just avoid pairing with your chunky flat boot as this is a very bottom heavy/ masculine look!
