Thanks Bronwyn! This is a tattoo version of 'Photo 51' a famous X-ray Crystallography image taken in 1952 by Raymond Gosling, a PhD student of Rosalind Franklin. The image went along to help Watson and Crick develop the chemical model of DNA which earned them a Nobel Prize in 1962. "I have been fascinated by the biological world for as long I can remember," writes Clare D'Alberto, a graduate student in zoology at Melbourne University, "so when I decided to get a tattoo it seemed logical that I look within my field for inspiration.

My first tattoo I got a few months ago. Stands for Delta f508. My gene mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
