A cute little bird on very thin japanese paper.

"Daruma" is an original linocut block print, handprinted onto delicate Japanese paper.

“Sakura" is an original block print depicting a cherry blossom branch layered onto a pale pink circle, with the branch exceeding the limits of the circle. The image was drawn, transferred to the blocks, hand-carved, and hand-pressed.<br /><br />The image is just approximately 4”x8” with a margin of space left around each edge for framing (actual paper 7”x10” and can be framed without a mat if preferred). The print on white paper and is signed and titled at the bottom.<br /><br />Due to the…

I was eager to test out a new Japanese watercolor set I just got, so I colored these by hand and I really enjoyed the process!
