The Alma print, like the Ester, was inspired by antique Katazome works of art. More specifically, through the eyes of Andrew Tuer, who like us, reveres this Japanese art form. As archivists like Tuer, we scoured his book for pattern inspiration, and it was within a small portion of the background of a Katazome print, made into a repeat, that the Alma was conceived.
