Unfolded moon flower ... I tugged on the tighter one ( see previous post) and it expanded nicely

Deadly nightshade trumpet-shaped bloom Datura promises a fairyland of delicate beauty, moths, butterflies, long-tongued bees, hummingbirds and magical moonlit nights giving rise to names like Angel’s Trumpet, Moon Lily, Moon Flower or Belladonna (beautiful lady). By contrast, the bristly fruit and stale-smelling leaves have given rise to alternative names such as Devil’s Trumpet, Deadly Nightshade, Thorn Apple, Mad Apple, Hairy Jimson-weed, Stink Weed, Green Dragon and Locoweed.

Moon lillies - my friend says they smell wonderful. I love their star like shape.

This moon flower bud began opening as the sun set tonight. It's ready to put on a show for the full moon. What a work of art.
