Always happy to work from the model, I tried not to make the drawing as scribbly as it usually is when I attend a group. It's still pretty loose, though. I used Sennelier oil pastels on Colourfix paper, 12 x 9". Thanks for looking!

If you paint everything with warm tones and similar values, the portrait becomes flat. The highlights placed above the eye eyebrow, on the top of the nose, above her cheek, and above the lips are what gives form to those beautiful facial features.
