This unusual bottle of Arabian Style Egg Shampoo Cream came to the Smithsonian Museum from the Georgetown Pharmacy of Washington, D.C., after the pharmacy closed in 1988. Promoted in advertisements as a “beautifier and grower,” this product appears to have been available from about 1895 to 1920. In 1913 it was advertised for 18 cents at a Washington Rexall drugstore.
