Khmelnytskyi Raion (Ukrainian: Хмельницький район, [Khmel'nyts'kyi raion] error: {{lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is ane o the 3 admeenistrative raions (a destrict) o the Khmelnytskyi Oblast in wastren Ukraine. Its admeenistrative center is locatit in the ceety o Khmelnytskyi. Even tho the ceety o Khmelnytskyi is separate frae the raion's govrenment, it still serves as its admeenistrative center in addeetion tae its role as that o the Khmelnytskyi Oblast's admeenistrative center. Its population wis 53,686 in the 2001 Ukrainian Census[1] an 52,906 as o 2012[update].
Geografie

Ane o the main rivers that runs throu the raion is the Soothren Bug. Geografically, the Khmelnytskyi Raion completely surroonds the Khmelnytskyi Ceety Municipality shapin a enclave.

[eedit | eedit soorce]The Khmelnytskyi Raion wis established on 4 Januar 1965 oot o a combination o veelage cooncils frae the Krasyliv Raion, Letychiv Raion, Yarmolyntsi Raion, Horodok Raion, an Volochysk Raions.[2]
