Ines Serra Baucells spent six years at Deloitte and McKinsey advising energy companies on climate strategy. Then a trip to Kenya showed her the problem up close: farmers burning crop waste for lack of a better option, releasing carbon and degrading their soil in the process. So she left consulting and built the better option herself. BIOSORRA turns that waste into biochar carbon removal, pulling CO₂ out of the atmosphere while regenerating the soil underneath it. Ten days before closing a funding round, Inés realized BIOSORRA had no website. She opened Lovable and built it herself. "In my consulting days, a digital project meant entire teams, late nights, and weeks of debugging. I built ours in two days on Lovable." That website is now the foundation for a lot more: interactive tools where prospects can model their own carbon removal output, and next, a portal for clients to transfer and retire credits directly. Last year, the world emitted 41 billion tons of CO₂: a new record. Founders like Inés don't have time to wait on a dev roadmap. That’s what Lovable is for.

Lovable has acquired Sutro. My first useful piece of software was a website I built to help schoolmates with math. Getting it to work felt delightful. Seeing other people use it felt magical. Something I’d imagined was now real and helping someone else. We spent five years at Sutro bringing that feeling to others. As their ideas grew more ambitious, we took on harder engineering problems. We built our own programming language, compiler and hosting platform to help people create secure and reliable applications. I went to Anton Osika hoping Lovable would use our technology. It ended up with an offer to acquire the company. Now, at Lovable, we get to share that feeling on a scale I could hardly have imagined when I built that math website. Sutro engineers are joining to help build the Lovable platform. I’m leading technical evangelism, sharing the engineering that makes this possible and helping people see how far they can take their ideas. I’m proud of what we built. The Scion Group manages 160+ properties for 105,000 students. The largest student housing operator in the world. Their COO, Kenneth Funk, found Lovable on TikTok. “In 30 seconds, a working finance app came back and I said to myself ‘wow, this is legit.’ My next thought was, what could this do for our business?” Four months later: • Scion has 24 apps in production, 77 more in development • Their first build, a property inspection tool, saved $35K in days • Up to $1M in SaaS contracts are on track to be replaced HR built a ticketing system for seasonal hires. Marketing created a website audit tool that scores performance across the whole portfolio. This software didn't exist off the shelf, so Scion built it themselves.
