7.2K views · 179 reactions | Viral | Hey everybody. Esther from Viral Mums. So I wanted to share with you a quick tutorial on this diamond weave braid that I created this morning. I want to start off by giving you the measurements right quick. This is the number five diamond dust ribbon. I used two of them and for the measurements. If you're making a sixteen inch long braid it'll be thirty-two inches of number five. And if you want a 32 inch long braid like this one here it you will use 64 inches of ribbon twice. Okay So, also one more thing that I want to mention is that how I got the measurement to meet each other perfectly without using any tools is that I measured the beginning of the braid for at two inches and at 2 inches, I fold at a little angle just like that just to get us started and if you can see that, it's kind of like that backward seven and once we have that there, I'm going to bring this down and meet the shiny sides together like this and if you can see that there. And yes we're going to staple right in the center to hold it in place. This braid does take a lot of staples. But be patient because it's going to look pretty. Now once we're we've done the little triangle type we come back just like this. And then this comes down making another point. And we're going to go on and on just like that. Up and down all the way down stapling each one. Okay one more time. We're doing this right here. And then you're going to bring it back down. And this is going to give you that zigzag effect all the way through the crate. So Now you're going to do two of these remember. Two of these zigzags. We're going to meet them together. The initial plan was to in my mind was to interlock them all the way through. So basically I was going to do in out you know in out all the way around. But I kind of like the the the whole little diamond effect. If you see how I'm weaving this here it starts to look like this. But I thought it looked too narrow too small. So what I did was when I was about to pull it apart. I kind of like the the whole diamond look. So I said oh well you know what? Let's go ahead and just do over and you know over under over under giving us the diamond. Now I did use glue on each of these corners once I did over under because I think staples would have been way too many staples. But I did use glue on all these tips. Hot glue. And then once you have it you'll end up like this. Again I did use bling to cut off the staples. But yeah here it is and that's the the diamond the diamond weave upgrade. And also one more thing. I don't know if you noticed the back. It looks super cute. If we add some bling to this. I think it'll look really cute as well so it can it's versatile. You can do it front and back. So yeah let me know what y'all think. Bye.
