Must Have Craft Tips – Outdoor Upcycled Ideas

DIY lamp post - made from a cardboard fabric tube (use PVC pipe for outdoor use), 2 small decorative shelf brackets, 1 finial, small peanut butter jar lid to cover hole at top of tube (finial screws into that), urn, 2 battery operated, plastic lanterns from Big Lots, and Great Stuff (expanding foam to hold post in urn). Spray paint black (remove lanterns first) and add wreath (could use silk flowers or plants for base instead - I just used what I had on hand). Hang lanterns from brackets.

One of my all time favorite woodworking projects is this adorable lamp post and lantern. I originally made it to add to my Christmas decor, but I discovered that it works as well for Halloween and all the other holidays, too. I just change out the garland for something more suitable.
