I wanted to create something that let the creatives out there represent the importance and impact that their work has on the world. Whether you’re a creative working on a team inside an big organization, you’re a freelance designer or writer. Whether you’re an artist painting in your free time, the creative director of an agency, or a photographer shooting brand campaigns. I was inspired to start Creative Department by you.

This project was one of the first projects I created for the Nanas because I wanted to try the play of black and white and vibrant color. It's pretty hard to create but I just love the contrast! My mind is not always for me, and we aren't always on the same page. There are days when I wake up completely backwards and confused about everything that enters my thoughts. I will over analyze and rearrange until I am in physical pain. This takes away from my reading and writing abilities. I can usually pull myself away from the cluttering voices in my mind with a good book, but sometimes the words on the pages make it worse and my mind will not accept the peace offering.

I started creating "Jesus" shirt designs as a way to express myself—my feelings, my beliefs, and who I am as a whole. And that's how this brand was born. Now, I want to share it with you, and if it resonates, wear it as a way to express yourself while keeping Jesus at the center. Welcome to IOH!!

Was I in utero with art supplies in tow? I think so. Being a creative was written for me. I have to be expressing creativity in order to feel okay. I remember being bored as a kid & remembering I could draw or color. I didn’t care for school but I was always happy to be in art class. I was created to create. That’s my path. ☺️
