Louise watson textiles

I made this brief sketch while I was out for a walk........... ............ the interpretation in machine embroidery on fabric- fabulous Autumn colours. It is the copse at the top of our garden.

Finished at last- a lot of stitching in this and the texture of the whole piece quilted through is interesting and pleasing to me. Whew! I have the frame to put this into and some cards that need finishing, then all ready for hanging on Tuesday.

Well the weeks go by with much the same routine. lockdown is loosening a little but for us older people, much the same and fearing a second spike we won't be out that much where there are people about. Having our food and other stuff delivered or collecting it from outside the stores. Working on this piece at the moment. Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you for all the good wishes I have received over the last week, your visits and kind words have meant a lot to me. When I knew I was imminently going into hospital I prepared a handful of teabags! I ironed Vilene on to the back of each one, and added some fabric and machine stitching to them.
