Yorkshire Puddings are not a pudding at all...they are more like popovers or cream puffs only not as sweet. Usually they are at the beginning of the meal which is a roast beef and the meat drippings flavor the pudding as they bake. Dipping in gravy or pouring gravy over the tops is a favorite way to serve, but I prefer to use them as dinner rolls along with poultry for special occasions.
