It's loaded with spiced apples and topped with estruso crumb and a sweet apple cider cinnamon glaze. Let's start by preparing the apples. Fill inch of the apples about three eights of an inch thick. Place them in a bowl. Mix with cinnamon and nutmeg. Set it aside. Now let's make this drizzle crumb topping. Add the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a bowl. Add the room temperature butter to the bowl and use a fork to mix the butter and the flour and sugar until a crumbly mixture forms. All the butter should be incorporated with the dry ingredients. Place it in the fridge while you make the cake batter. Beat the butter at medium speed for 1 minute. Then add the sugar and be together with the butter for another 2 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time mixing and to incorporate it before adding the next egg. Add the vanilla and mix to combine. Pour the buttermilk in and mix. Then add the dry ingredients which are flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon powder. Mix on low to combine. To make the cake you can use an eight inch or nine inch spring form pin lined with parchment paper and greased. Spread about two thirds of the batter on the bottom of the prepared pan. Top with half of the apples. Then pour the remaining batter on top. Then pour the remaining apples on top and spread them on an even layer. Sprinkle the crumb all over the top of the cake. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 55 to 65 minutes. Until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean. To make the apple cider cinnamon glaze, beat the cream cheese and butter for 1 minute. Add the powdered sugar and the cinnamon powder and mix to combine. Then add apple cider and mix.
