Hello! I'm Octavian, and I'm a CTO who still writes code. I'm lazy in the useful way: I learn new tools fast because I hate doing the same thing twice. The part of a project I like is the messy middle - vague requirements, brittle legacy, nobody sure who owns what, and systems that have to keep running while you change them.
I've built and reviewed production systems in ecommerce, adtech, banking, insurance, luxury, gaming, hospitality, medtech, public sector and space/sensor data. That's where I learned what breaks. It shows up now in how I design evidence layers, developer platforms and recovery plans.
I enjoy design patterns, modular reusable code and interfaces that hit 60fps. I hire and mentor engineers, speak at events and advise startups. What I care about: clear priorities, systems you can observe, and code that still makes sense to the next person.
I keep a study track running. The point is to learn these properly, not to collect logos.

I set the technical direction at DOMSELARDI and write code on the critical path. I own the architecture, the delivery model, the security posture and the product direction. Recent work includes AI evidence, signed sensor-data provenance, a multi-agent data and analytics platform, real-time public-data ingestion, automated provisioning of 12,000 virtual machines across four cloud regions for the SaaS Cloud offering of a GenAI platform, and product/platform surfaces spanning web, backend, data, cloud, observability, secure operations, and developer tooling. Led distributed engineering teams of 10 to 30 on the migration of a legacy finance suite impacting 145,000 employees worldwide to scalable cloud microservices, connecting executive goals with architecture, delivery governance, and engineering execution. Contributed to 120+ technical hiring and senior-profile evaluations, improved delivery KPIs, increased the innovation budget by around EUR 4M, reduced OPEX for an insurance product by around EUR 2M, led RPA Centers of Excellence with UiPath and Blue Prism, and drove applied AI/ML innovation through Addstones.
