Sidney Sheldon (11. februar 1917 – 30. januar 2007) bio je američki književnik. Poznatim je postao zahvaljujući televizijskoj karijeri, odnosno stvaranju popularnih TV-serija kao što su The Patty Duke Show (1963–66), I Dream of Jeannie (1965–70) i Hart to Hart (1979–84), ali je slavu stekao tek u kasnim godinama života zahvaljujući romanima Master of the Game (1982), The Other Side of Midnight (1973) i Rage of Angels (1980) koji su postali bestseleri.
