Engineering notes from M'her
I met Christopher at a studio I was interning at. I overhead that he had built a home studio and was looking for an engineer to work with/for him. I said I was interested, and a few weeks later I got the gig.

A few months after working there, Christopher mentioned there was this really talented artist that wanted to record there, but he was going to be in LA, and asked if I wanted to take the gig. I had never heard of Shawn before, so Christopher gave me a Pigeonhed CD…after one listen I was floored and was super excited to meet and work with Shawn.

I think Shawn came into the studio with a few song ideas, and believe In Your Eyes was the first one we ever recorded… Shawn was stoked that there was a drum kit already set up and mic’d, so he got on there and we hit the 2” tape machine hot, and got a nice big crunchy sound. Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure there were only two mics on the kit… 1- kick, 2- overhead.
