SORRY SORRY SORRY......

CHRISTMAS
l know what you're thinking but as a crafter you have to plan early for Christmas
Meal with Dave and Alison on Tuesday the conversation turned to Christmas..l asked what would be there favourite time if they could have a perfect Christmas?
Alison wanted to go away and Dave wanted to have a chill out time doing nothing
I suggested they come to us for a week laughing we suggested a PJ party for Christmas day...hehe
THEY LOVED THE IDEA
Alison gets to go away and they are good enough friends to chill easily at our house so Dave will get his chill out time too
PLANS MADE FOR CHRISTMAS!
Inspirational collage for Christmas....my mind has been planning for a couple of weeks now
lounge will need blues and greens, black and white this year
going to make more loo roll stars and what can l do with all those wool cones?...mmmm

DISCOVERY!
the local Wilkinsons has an upstair!!....on the way up l noticed some really great priced door handles....as we need 12 sets decided they would be just perfect...only had 6 sets but more will be in, in less than a week...
just under £9 per set
AND A GREAT THRIFTY FIND
picked up 3 smaller serving plates from a charity shop for £1.98. A real bargain and the perfect size for a melon or a joint of something for Christmas and one to decorate for the mantle perhaps?
undercoat finished on the  fireplace and the bath tidy so a top coat of eggshell will sort them out
BUT most excited about the new door handles..
so TODAY'S ACTION PLAN is to fill and sand and undercoat all the doors down stairs today then everything will need a gloss top coat

ARE YOU A LIFE PLANNER?
Do you plan your life?...not in stone 'cos it often changes but do you know where you are going from day to day? l couldn't live without a life plan....something to aim at keeps me going.....
I NEED TO KNOW....
what's happening next week next month in 6 months a year 2yrs... a life map to follow gets things done!

everything down stairs needs to be finished by mid October
then we'll have a small kitchen to fit some where else for someone else...take about a week...
then back to sort the 2 bedrooms out for James' night's out stop overs and  Christmas guests....then all the decorations finished off and hung ....
Christmas sorted!
hehe...sorry again for mentioning it so early...just can't help being a planner!

BERTIE UPDATE....
he had Rhinoplasty!.....recovery slow!!
Original yellow paintwork...one day he will be yellow again

filler and sandpaper calls....cya ll soon
Hugs xx

'SOLD OUT!!!......NO' l said 'you can't have sold out already it only just come out and l've made a special trip to get it'....and the girl l knew hadn't looked properly....go to the boss is what l say lol...that worked and she was sent to look again........ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrr shop assistants!!

aaaaaaahhhhh got my precious Country Living

Got the lining for my dress for James' pass out parade on Friday and bought all the small pegs they had for my peg rails too

How did it get to be gone 11?...off to try and get the eggshell paint l need for the console tables, peg rails, chairs, legs of dining room table and the walls of my shed..what a lot of painting to do!

Think l need a new bigger paint brush too all that calls for a bigger brush than the 1" l used for the console tables primer!!!

Found my name in a cupboard so going to paint that white to hang on the wall of the shed

INDIAN SUMMER!!

UPDATE TO POST: Just discovered what this bench is called....'Fayence Bench with Hinged Seat' and they have a huge range in price depending on where you buy it!!
So £285 isn't bad at all...am l trying to talk myself into buying this

Another beautiful day shining through the bedroom window and it looks like present season too

Blood and feathers all over the hall floor 3rd dead thing this week..oh! the joys of having furballs thanks boys Mel...something to look forward too with Pickles

Bought a pack of these chandeliers at Bridgemere the other day half price so a bargain can't decide where to stick them yet though

A LONG list of things to do today if l can get going....always have a problem on a Friday's geting out of bed hehehe

Pmacs' 1st day at work and its house work day...yuk!.....love it all clean and tidy but difficult at the mo with everything all over the place and l can always think of something more fun to do like browsing the new Country Homes magazine, plan the house make over, paint chopped up furniture, or my shed interior

But l must do the 2 granny square swaps and finish my dress for next Friday these must be finished by Thursday and then there's Kathryn's bag to crochet as my lovley friend is coming for the weekend again and my toes are so looking forward to the visit hehe Promised to cook this weekend too

OFF TO CUT UP THE FURNITURE TODAY!!

Now the 'craft furniture' is almost totally out of the house and we can't get any more of the wool silk insulation for 'hers' at a bit of a shed break here so going to start the re-modelling of the house furniture today.....

1 Cutting a large black TV unit in half to make a white painted, wood topped console table for the dinning room ( replacement of the cube unit) and the remaining half will go to 'hers' as another work surface again painted white

2 Then l want to paint the legs of the dining room table to match and the dining room chairs white aswell

3 Move the original TV units l bought back into the conservatory

4 Re-hang the collage painting in the spare bedroom leaving a space for a new painting in our room

5 Lastly hang the large plaque Pmacs bought a couple of weeks back
Always writting list but never get ALL done lets see how much of this list gets completed!!

TODAYS PLAYTIME

a
Loo roll Flower decoration.....cover a loo roll in chosen paper cut into 1/2" slices then open slightly so they look like a petals glue edge and press onto paper when dry cut round the petals
Glue 6 together and add a center snowflake...strengthener too will help hold the whole flower together..both sides of petal can be covered (if hanging in a wndow ) and beads and wire added at the bottom and a loop at the top or just pop on the tree as they are!

PAINT ON 1ST CANVAS TODAY...
I've had 4 canvases in the attic for 3yrs.... always mean to do some painting when l retired...well l've put paint to canvas today...long way off fnished but thought the 1st layer would make a great subtle background paper for scrapbooking maybe

Close up....looks like rows of pearls so far
